Final Exam

Registered students take the final exam of Oak Valley Academy (OVA) after completing of the courses. All exams in Oak Valley Academy are closed-book exams and completed under the supervision of appropriate invigilators. 

In-person proctoring

 

A proctor is an individual who meets with a student to witness the final exam being written and later attests that all procedures were properly followed. The date, time, place, and proctor for a student’s final exam are selected by the student but must be approved by the Oak Valley Academy.
In order to be approved, any in-person exam proctor must meet all of the following criteria:
● Must not be related to the student in any way
● Must not be a student at any level of study
● Must not be a tutor
● Must have a university degree or college designation
● Must be able to read and speak in the English language
● Must have a valid, non-generic business email address provided by the proctor’s current place of work.

Final Exam Procedure Steps:

 

 

1) The student must meet in person with the proctor who will invigilate the exam.
2) The student must apply to take the final exam at least two weeks prior to the proposed date by submitting a Proctor Request Form (click here to download the form to Oak Valley Academy Administration.
3) If the proctor is approved, then both student and proctor will be provided with detailed exam instructions via e-mail. 
4) Next, the student and proctor may proceed with the final exam.
5) Upon completion of final exam, the proctor must sign the Proctor Memorandum provided by Oak Valley Academy and indicate that all procedures were followed. A student final grade will not be released until this memorandum has been submitted.
